Accountant

SS Hussain & Sons, located in Boltan, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, including stock and inventory management, supplier payments, and routine financial reporting. This role requires an individual who can work independently and take full ownership of the accounts department. Hands-on experience with ERP software is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Record daily sales and purchase transactions accurately, generate customer invoices, track receivables, and reconcile account ledgers using Fast Accounts software.
- Maintain precise stock and inventory records, conduct periodic physical stock reconciliations, monitor inventory movements, and ensure proper stock valuation.
- Process supplier invoices, verify Purchase Orders (PO) and Goods Received Notes (GRN), reconcile vendor statements, and manage payment schedules efficiently.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Oversee general ledger entries, manage month-end and year-end closing procedures, and maintain well-organized digital and physical financial records.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on proficiency in ERP software is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping, inventory control, and accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com) is required.
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, inventory tracking, and advanced MS Excel skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- ACCA or CA qualification, or partial completion of these certifications, is preferred.
- The salary range for this position is PKR 40,000 to 50,000 per month, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall suitability for the role.
