Accountant - Odoo

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 1-2 years of practical experience using Odoo to handle daily accounting tasks, support month-end closing processes, and maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records. The role involves working extensively within Odoo’s Accounting, Invoicing, Purchase, and Inventory modules to ensure smooth financial operations and contribute to system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Record and process daily financial transactions in Odoo, including sales invoices, vendor bills, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable by conducting follow-ups, reviewing aging reports, and reconciling vendor statements.
- Perform bank and cash reconciliations using bank statements and Odoo’s reconciliation tools.
- Post month-end adjustments such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and foreign exchange revaluations.
- Prepare and file sales tax/GST, withholding tax, and related returns, ensuring proper tax configuration within Odoo.
- Reconcile inventory and purchase/sales valuation with the general ledger, particularly for stock-based businesses.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent (B.Com, BBA, ACCA Finalist, or CAF ongoing).
- 1-2 years of accounting experience with hands-on use of Odoo (version 15 or above preferred).
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Familiarity with Pakistan taxation, including sales tax and withholding tax, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Odoo’s Accounting, Invoicing, Purchase, Sales, and Inventory modules.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data cleaning techniques.
- Good command of written and spoken English.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a monthly salary of Rs 45,000. This is an in-person role requiring attendance at the designated office location.

Experience

- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting is required.
