OVERVIEW OF POSITION
This position is part of the field based team of the EU-funded Programme for Improved Nutrition in Sindh (PINS), nutrition specific project covering 10 districts of Sindh as per the Accelerated Action Plan for Malnutrition and Stunting in Sindh. This is a consortium based project with three co-applicants (RSPN, PPHI and Concern Worldwide) and a range of other government partners.
This is a field based position responsible to work under the leadership of IM Manager and provide support in smooth operations of PINS in the districts through field level supervision of data collection, processing and feeding in to the central data base system. This position will be supporting the process for planning and conducting workshops, sessions for rolling out information management processes at field level under the clear guidance of technical supervisor. This position will support in drafting meeting minutes, plan meetings, to ensure smooth and strong coordination with partners and government counterparts to share and gather data. This position will also be involved in conducting field level monitoring and reporting to ensure that standard procedures are adopted in terms of data compilation by partners. The position is expected to spend 60% of time in field.
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1
To support in maintaining a vibrant information system for PINS Program
Tasks & responsibilities
· To plan and conduct field visits to ensure that partners and government departments are oriented on the information management system
· Support in planning of researches and data collection process at field level and support in analysis using different tools like SPSS and MS Access.
· To strengthen online data collection systems through providing orientation to partners on tools and procedures.
· To implement project monitoring system in collaboration with MEAL team which includes trend analysis for program progress, effectiveness against stated indicators.
· To provide support in generation of reports as per requirements of Action Against Hunger and donors.
· To provide support to field teams in program archiving and develop spread sheets for other departments/organizational as per needs to track data and files.
Objective 2
Feedback and analysis of relevant program qualitative and quantitative data
Tasks & responsibilities
· To support IM Manager in providing technical back stopping to implementing partners in generation of data sets and its analysis.
· To provide support/ updates of the ACF Pakistan Program regarding supplies, caseloads and planning to program and partners.
· To follow-up with Field staff on Program data collection / routine program data and giving feedback for improvements.
· Strong Support in all ACF Nutrition Assessments e.g. SQUEAC, SMART, IYCF KAP Baseline, Endline, NCA in planning, formulation and execution stage.
· To contribute to agency contingency planning for possible Nutrition emergency response if required.
· Up to 60% visits to field for monitoring in terms of stream lining data reporting quality and data reporting channel among field and office staff.
Objective 3
Coordination and representation in external events
Tasks & responsibilities
· To provide support in conduct trainings, orientation sessions with relevant government departments, partners and other stakeholders for smooth functioning of program.
· Prepare reports and briefings for relevant departmetns as and when required.
· Participation and representation in NIS working group at provincial level.
Objective 4 (Gender)
To ensure inclusion across programming and within/by the team
Tasks & responsibilities
· Support mission level qualification for gender marker;
· Encourage inclusion within recruitment, training and promotion;
· Ensure inclusion within programme planning, implementation and reporting;
· Identify and mentor gender focal points in coordination with HR.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory
· Master's Degree in relevant field Minimum 04 years of overall experience and 02 years in relevant field in development sector OR Bachelor's degree in relevant field with minimum 06 years overall expereince with 04 years in relevant field in development sector
· Minimum Bachelor or advanced level qualification in information management or relevant degree.
· Good written and verbal communication in English;
· Computer sciences, statistics or information management related qualification.
· Experience working in nutrition specific
· Experience working within complex matrix based organizational structures;
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Good resource and time management skills
· Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word and Excel required
· Experience working in Sindh
Preference
· Sindhi language skills;
· Experience within a large national or international organization;
· Experience working in development projects
· Experience working closely with Government of Sindh.
