Accountant

Ahsan & Brothers seeks a detail-oriented Accountant with at least five years of professional experience specializing in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in tax preparation and compliance, demonstrating proficiency in various accounting software, including ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, and specifically Odoo. Experience with Odoo ERP implementation is critical to support the companys ongoing accounting processes and system enhancements. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while adhering to regulatory requirements. The Accountant will perform individual responsibilities without team management duties but will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and smooth ERP operations.

Responsibilities

A. Accounting & Finance Duties
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
* Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions and adjustments are properly recorded.
* Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
* Conduct periodic audits and prepare financial statements to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
* Maintain organized and detailed records of all financial transactions to support transparency and reporting needs.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting by providing reliable financial data and analysis.
* Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations of accounting records.
* Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret financial data and support business decision-making.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and best practices.

B. ERP Implementation & System Management Duties
* Utilize ERP systems such as Odoo (or similar platforms like SAP/Oracle Financials) for efficient financial data processing.
* Lead or support ERP implementation activities by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
* Clearly demonstrate experience in implementing or assisting in ERP systems, particularly in accounting and inventory modules.
* Monitor, evaluate, and improve accounting processes within the ERP system to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related accounting issues to prevent disruptions in financial operations.
* Collaborate with finance, operations, and inventory teams to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.
* Ensure proper integration of accounting, tax, and inventory processes within the ERP system.
