AI Engineer — Remote (US/UAE Time zone)

CodeThread LLC is seeking a highly experienced AI Engineer to join its remote team, working primarily within US and UAE time zones. This full-time position is based in Pakistan and offers a competitive starting salary of PKR 500,000 per month, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be embedded within client engineering teams, collaborating with senior leadership at top-tier global companies to design, build, and scale AI-powered systems and products. This role involves tackling complex challenges using cutting-edge AI technologies and contributing to high-impact projects across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop production-grade AI solutions, including large language model (LLM)-powered applications, intelligent agents, and automation pipelines.
- Architect and implement end-to-end AI workflows, covering everything from data ingestion to model deployment and serving.
- Integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into existing enterprise products and platforms.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and make architectural decisions within client teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research, applying new knowledge to practical use cases.
- Optimize AI systems for scalability, reliability, and performance in production environments.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software or AI engineering, with at least 4 years focused specifically on AI/ML systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, and Hugging Face.
- Hands-on experience working with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, vector databases, and agentic systems.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with MLOps best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record of building or shipping AI-powered products, whether as a founder, core contributor, or key technical team member.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of representing CodeThread effectively within high-caliber client environments.
- Ability to independently manage and deliver complex technical projects with minimal supervision.
