Alif Industry is seeking a proficient and motivated Deputy Manager Injection Molding to lead and manage injection molding production operations at its Raiwind, Lahore facility. The role requires an individual with a strong foundation in injection molding processes, production planning, quality control, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Polymer, or Industrial Engineering and possess 5 to 8 years of relevant experience. This position involves overseeing a production team of 40 persons, requiring effective leadership to meet production goals, enhance process efficiency, and maintain stringent quality standards.
The Deputy Manager will be responsible for optimizing machine parameters to increase productivity, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality. Collaboration with maintenance, quality, and planning departments is essential to drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement safety protocols, and maintain 5S standards on the shop floor. This role demands excellent analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to coordinate manpower effectively while fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily injection molding production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Optimize injection molding machine parameters to improve productivity and reduce defect rates.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to meet product standards consistently.
- Lead and supervise a team of 40 production staff to achieve production targets and maximize manpower utilization.
- Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Production Planning departments to align production schedules and maintenance activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and process troubleshooting to identify and resolve production issues swiftly.
- Drive cost reduction strategies by analyzing processes and implementing improvements.
- Oversee preventive maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime and extend equipment life.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, 5S methodologies, and continuous improvement programs on the shop floor.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, cost-benefit analyses, and project progress to senior management.
- Manage plastic material selection and inventory to support production demands and quality requirements.
- Leverage ERP software to monitor production data, inventory, and workforce planning effectively.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment that encourages team engagement and professional development.
