Project Manager (Finishing & Fit-Out)

Arch Builders is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in finishing and fit-out for commercial mall projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience managing finishing and fit-out phases on large-scale commercial mall projects, particularly malls around 300,000 square feet in size. This role requires a graduate in civil engineering or architecture, with preference given to PEC-registered professionals. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the finishing and fit-out process, ensuring high-quality execution, timely delivery, and adherence to budget and safety standards. The candidate will lead and manage a dedicated team of two professionals, providing guidance, coordination, and resource allocation to ensure project milestones are met. This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent construction project management abilities, and the capacity to work closely with multiple stakeholders including contractors, architects, and clients. The Project Manager must be capable of tackling complex challenges specific to commercial mall finishing and fit-out while maintaining strict attention to detail and quality.
Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all finishing and fit-out activities for commercial mall projects of approximately 300,000 square feet.
Lead the project team consisting of two members by providing clear direction, support, and performance management.
Manage the construction schedule to ensure timely completion of finishing and fit-out phases while minimizing delays.
Maintain strict quality control to ensure finishes meet design specifications, safety codes, and industry standards.
Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and coordinate project efforts effectively.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures related to the finishing and fit-out scope and propose adjustments to keep costs within limits.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with contractual commitments.
Prepare detailed project reports, status updates, and presentations for senior management and clients.
Implement risk management strategies to identify potential challenges early and develop mitigation plans.
Ensure all documentation such as permits, approvals, and handover certificates are complete and accurate upon project closeout.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize finishing and fit-out processes and enhance team productivity.
Stay current with the latest industry trends, materials, and construction technologies relevant to finishing and fit-out projects.
