Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles and practical experience in handling various accounting tasks. This role involves working closely with the finance department to ensure accurate financial processing and reporting, supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process bank payments accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor payments efficiently by verifying invoices and reconciling payments to maintain precise financial records.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and address any discrepancies.
- Reconcile ledger accounts related to vendors, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist with tax calculations and preparation, ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Generate stock reports to provide insights into inventory levels, aiding in inventory management decisions.
- Record vendor invoices promptly and accurately, maintaining proper documentation and records.
- Deduct taxes from vendor payments as required by tax regulations and ensure proper documentation of these deductions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com), Business Administration (BBA), or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in processing bank payments and handling vendor payment procedures.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of tax calculations and reporting requirements.
- Ability to generate and analyze stock reports.
- Familiarity with vendor invoice processing and documentation.
- Understanding of tax deduction procedures related to vendor payments.
