Assistant Fleet Management

This position involves managing the procurement process by obtaining and evaluating vendor quotations to ensure the best pricing and lead times. The role requires raising purchase orders based on these evaluations and closely monitoring shipments until delivery. Coordination with the engineering team is essential to address critical part requirements, alongside overseeing the repair processes for various components such as engines, APUs, wheels, and brakes. The role demands effective communication and teamwork within a dynamic fleet management environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to vendors for price and lead time comparisons.
- Assess quotations to determine the best possible lead time and price, then prepare and send a quote review report to the supervisor.
- Raise purchase orders with vendors based on the most favorable quotes.
- Follow up on shipments through freight forwarders and couriers until the goods are delivered to stores.
- Coordinate with the engineering team regarding critical part requirements to ensure timely procurement.
- Monitor and track repairs of components including engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), wheels, and brakes.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Less than one year of experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with vendors, internal teams, and supervisors.
- Willingness to work on a shift basis as required by the department.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Proficiency in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications such as MS Excel.
