This role involves partnering closely with Relationship Managers, Product Sales, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to resolve client channel issues and identify opportunities to enhance overall client service. The position requires a proactive approach to delivering excellent service, supporting lending units with documentation, and ensuring smooth onboarding and channel activation processes for Corporate and Institutional Banking clients.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional service in line with agreed standards, maintaining minimal error rates. Continuously improve operational efficiency by streamlining processes and promoting best practices. Provide expert support and advice to Relationship Managers across all lending units on documentation, including origination when necessary. Manage channel activation services for Corporate clients, handling pre-transactional inquiries, setup, training, and issue resolution.
Oversee Customer Due Diligence (CDD) activities for new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory onboarding requirements. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders throughout the end-to-end CDD process, performing quality checks and enforcing adherence to policies and standards. Manage onboarding processes for Global Institutional Clients (GIC) and network clients.
Conduct thorough reviews of documentation and account opening activities, working closely with onshore and hub teams to expedite system setups. Handle processing requests related to Straight2Bank channels and associated products, including internal setups for Client Access and Transaction Banking implementation testing.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory frameworks, escalating issues as necessary. Maintain awareness of the regulatory environment and adhere to Money Laundering Prevention Procedures, reporting suspicious activities promptly. Proactively manage risks, monitor controls, and safeguard document confidentiality and data integrity.
Perform periodic self-assessments on key controls to verify their effectiveness and ensure all documentation meets internal and external standards before any exceptions are granted.
Required Qualifications
Experience in client service within banking or financial services, particularly in corporate or institutional banking environments. Strong knowledge of documentation processes, onboarding procedures, and regulatory compliance, including Customer Due Diligence and anti-money laundering requirements. Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage complex operational workflows.
Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and advice to Relationship Managers and clients. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, risk management, and process improvement. Familiarity with channel activation platforms such as Straight2Bank is highly desirable.
