Bcube is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead innovative product design and development with a focus on mechanical systems and integrated electrical components. This role involves spearheading the use of advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed models and prototypes, ensuring designs meet functional and quality standards. The Senior Design Engineer guides a dedicated team of two professionals and drives collaboration across multiple departments to deliver technically sound and viable products.
The ideal candidate brings over five years of experience in product design and development, demonstrating expertise in multidisciplinary engineering. Proficiency in advanced simulation tools for computational fluid dynamics (CFD), structural analysis, and thermal analysis is essential. The role requires strong capabilities in technical documentation, project management, and cross-functional communication to effectively oversee the full design lifecycle from concept through to production and validation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a design team of two engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical products.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA.
- Integrate electrical and mechanical components into cohesive product designs by working closely with electrical engineering teams.
- Perform advanced simulations including CFD, structural, and thermal analyses to validate design concepts and ensure performance standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including engineering drawings, specifications, and design reports adhering to company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure design feasibility and timely product delivery.
- Conduct design reviews, identify potential design risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to meet project goals and commitments.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members to enhance their skills and promote continuous improvement in design processes.
- Stay informed on industry trends, CAD tool advancements, and best practices in product design to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
