Best Media Service is looking for a dedicated Packing Assistant / Export Packer to join our printing and packaging production team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in packing within the printing, packaging, or manufacturing industry. The candidate must have a strong understanding of carton measurements, gross and net weight calculation, export packing standards, shipping labels, and international courier and freight packing requirements to ensure products are packed accurately and safely for dispatch.
The successful candidate should be experienced in handling luxury boxes, folding cartons, rigid boxes, paper bags, labels, and other printed products, ensuring every order is inspected, packed, labeled, and sealed according to customer and shipping specifications. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of minimizing product damage and material wastage while meeting daily packing and dispatch targets. Strong coordination with the Production, Quality Control, and Dispatch teams is essential to ensure smooth packing operations and timely local and international shipments.
Responsibilities
- Measure and calculate carton dimensions, gross weight, and net weight accurately for shipping purposes.
- Apply proper packing techniques to protect products during domestic and international shipping.
- Prepare export packing in accordance with international shipping standards and regulations.
- Inspect products before packing to ensure quality and correctness of each shipment.
- Handle packing materials efficiently to reduce damage, wastage, and optimize resource use.
- Label cartons correctly with shipping, handling, and product information to comply with courier and freight requirements.
- Seal cartons securely using appropriate methods to safeguard contents during transit.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to schedule shipments and meet daily dispatch targets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area to support operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards during packing operations.
- Assist with physical tasks related to packing such as lifting, moving, and stacking cartons as required.
- Document and report any packing discrepancies or issues encountered during shipment preparation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on packing processes and materials.
- Maintain accurate records related to packing schedules, materials used, and shipment details.
