Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items accurately according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards to maintain consistency in food quality.
Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies ahead of service to ensure readiness and efficiency.
Prepare ingredients by chopping, marinating, portioning, and other methods to facilitate smooth food preparation.
Employ multiple cooking methods such as grilling, frying, boiling, baking, and steaming to produce dishes that meet the required taste and quality levels.
Manage the timely preparation and serving of food to meet service demands and customer expectations.
Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards including HACCP guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure safe food handling.
Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before dishes leave the kitchen to guarantee a high standard of service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations to support health regulations and operational efficiency.
Store and label food ingredients properly, ensuring the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
Check inventory levels regularly, report shortages promptly, and assist in receiving food deliveries and inventory counts.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers, maintaining machines in good working order.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff to coordinate smooth food service operations.
Follow special dietary guidelines and allergen protocols responsibly to accommodate customer needs and promote safety.
Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a secure working environment for staff and customers.
