Civil Engineer – NESC, Karachi

NESC (National Environmental Services and Consultancy) is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to oversee and coordinate civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all civil works are executed safely, within the scheduled timeframe, and meet the required quality standards. This role involves close supervision of site activities and collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil construction and on-site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans for accuracy and feasibility.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and material estimates to support project planning and budgeting.
- Monitor project quality, progress, materials, and workmanship to maintain high standards.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve issues and facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address technical challenges promptly.
- Maintain detailed site reports and project documentation for record-keeping and audit purposes.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, particularly in site supervision.
- Proven experience in preparing BOQs and quantity estimation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of construction drawings and standards.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and project demands effectively.
