Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer – NESC, Karachi

NESC (National Environmental Services and Consultancy) is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to oversee and coordinate civil construction activities. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are executed safely, within the scheduled timeframe, and in compliance with established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil construction and on-site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project plans to verify accuracy and feasibility.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and material estimates for project requirements.
- Monitor project quality, progress, materials, and workmanship to maintain standards.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to resolve issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any technical challenges promptly.
- Maintain detailed site reports and project documentation for record-keeping and audits.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, particularly in site supervision.
- Proven experience in preparing BOQs and quantity estimation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of construction drawings and standards.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and project demands.
