Claims Handler

Simple Claims Limited, a well-established accident management company specializing in credit hire vehicles primarily for London PCO drivers, is expanding its Claims Invoicing Department. We are looking for an experienced Credit Hire Motor Claims Handler to join our team. This role is ideal for a claims professional with solid expertise in credit hire, the ABI General Terms of Agreement (GTA), and motor claims negotiation. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload from start to finish, focusing on recovering outstanding payment packs and negotiating invoice settlements. The role also involves handling both roadworthy and unroadworthy claims as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a personal portfolio of live claims and invoiced cases from inception through to resolution.
- Review claim histories and investigate liability by working closely with internal teams and external parties.
- Pursue outstanding payment packs and negotiate settlements with insurers to ensure timely recovery of funds.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all claim activities and keep records up to date within internal systems.
- Liaise effectively with insurers, solicitors, and other relevant stakeholders to progress claims efficiently and secure optimal outcomes.
- Operate within delegated authority while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.
- Continuously update technical knowledge of credit hire, relevant case law, and industry best practices to enhance performance.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in handling motor claims, with a strong focus on credit hire invoice recovery and settlement negotiations.
- Solid working knowledge of the ABI General Terms of Agreement (GTA).
- Strong understanding of credit hire case law and liability principles.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Confidence in building and maintaining professional relationships with insurer contacts to maximize recoveries and resolve claims efficiently.
