Holistic Understanding for Justified Research and Action HUJRA Swat is a non-governmental organization registered under the Societies Act of 1860. It was established in 1997 as HUJRA Support Organization indicating �Hujra� of a Pukhtoon Society, which is an important traditional social institution for collective decision making, conflict resolution, information sharing and social development. Following the pattern of Hujra, the HUJRA Swat has become a well known institution for bringing harmony and promoting integrated vision for better understating of human to human and human to nature relationship. The organization was renamed as �Holistic Understanding for Justified Research and Action (HUJRA)� with the broader mandate of conversation of natural resources and contribution to solving global environmental problems.
