The group's chairman Shaukat Mehmood Qazi started the business by opening a small property and real estate office by the name of Qazi Enterprises. By the grace of God, an organization that had as its foundations piety, faith, honesty and service to humanity, has gone from strength to strength in no time at all. Thanks foremost to the bounty of God and then to the untiring efforts of the employees, the group has achieved great success. In 1998 the organization's chairman Shaukat Mehmood Qazi made a tour of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, America and Sweden. He offered Pakistani brothers living abroad the opportunity to invest Islamically, which was well received. In 1999 the Qazi group of companies took practical shape, as follows:
