Energy crisis is currently one of the major problems of Pakistan. Unavailability of electricity round the clock, inflation in electricity tariff, and poor transmission line network is also adding apprehension within power sector. However, Pakistan is seriously considering alternative energy resources to play significant role
in coming out to this crisis and thus providing ease in induction of renewable sources to support increasing energy demands.
In this context, NEPRA in past few years have initiated Net-metering program through which once can not only generate their own electricity but also sell excess energy to the national grind and get credits from local DISCO (LESCO, MEPCO, etc.).
