LILT is looking for talented writers to create original, human-authored text samples across various subject areas. This role supports language data and AI evaluation projects aimed at improving the quality and authenticity of language technology. Writers will produce content based on specific prompts within their areas of expertise, ensuring all submissions are fully original and confidential.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce original, human-written text in your domain(s) of expertise, such as law, business, biography, religion, philosophy, or poetry.
- Follow provided prompts as the foundation for each writing assignment once your expertise area is confirmed.
- Guarantee that all content is entirely original, without the use of AI tools, translation software, or copied material.
- Provide written attestation confirming the originality of your work.
- Agree to keep the content confidential and refrain from publishing it elsewhere, in line with project terms.
Required Qualifications
- Native-level fluency and excellent writing skills in the target language.
- Demonstrable expertise in one or more subject domains, including but not limited to law, business, biography, religion, philosophy, or poetry.
- Prior writing experience, whether professional, academic, or published, is preferred.
- Strong command of style, tone, and structure appropriate to the chosen domain.
- Ability to work independently from prompts with minimal creative guidance.
- Strict commitment to originality and confidentiality standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Flexible work schedule as an independent contractor, allowing you to choose when and how much you work without fixed hours or micromanagement.
- Competitive compensation with prompt payment, respecting your time and expertise.
- Opportunity to contribute to innovative AI and language technology projects that influence human-machine communication.
- Access to a global community of linguists and subject matter experts advancing multilingual AI solutions.
- Exposure to diverse projects that help expand your portfolio and sharpen your skills across multiple industries.
- Enjoy engaging work that brings your language skills to life on meaningful and impactful assignments.
Additional Considerations
This role is best suited as a supplemental income source rather than a full-time job, as work availability depends on project demand. Contractors will not receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions, and hours are not guaranteed. Reliable availability and commitment are essential, with most tasks requiring a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week. Geographic restrictions may apply due to international sanctions, and contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
How to Join
Applicants should submit an updated CV in English and complete a GenAI skills assessment. Successful candidates will finalize onboarding and profile setup to become eligible for Applied AI projects.
