We are looking for an experienced Cost Manager to lead and manage all aspects of cost control throughout the entire development lifecycle. This role requires overseeing project feasibility studies, cost planning during the design phase, tendering, construction cost monitoring, and final account settlements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal design teams, external consultants, contractors, and project management to ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive cost control from initial feasibility through to final account settlement.
- Perform quantity take-offs for design, maintenance, and as-built works.
- Prepare detailed engineering estimates and Bills of Quantities in coordination with the Head of Design, Project Manager, and Resident Engineer.
- Liaise with in-house design teams, external consultants, contractors, and project management to align cost management strategies.
- Monitor and control project budgets to ensure financial targets are consistently met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support tendering processes by providing accurate cost data and analysis to inform decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in cost management, ideally with exposure to developer or client-side roles.
- Proven expertise in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, and project management.
- Demonstrated experience in construction cost control and final account settlements.
