This role is responsible for defining and executing the country’s technology strategy, infrastructure, service management, and production engineering capabilities to ensure secure, resilient, compliant, and cost-effective technology services across all business segments in Pakistan. Acting as the primary technology partner to country and business leadership, the role translates business priorities into technology roadmaps, investment decisions, and transformation outcomes while coordinating support from Group Technology. It also leads the Country Technology organization by overseeing governance, risk, regulatory and audit requirements, and operational resilience. The position fosters a strong talent culture and ensures alignment with Group standards, local regulations, and the Bank’s Code of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities
- Translate business strategies into comprehensive technology roadmaps, capacity plans, and investment initiatives, ensuring alignment with approved business plans.
- Develop and lead the country technology strategy, partnering closely with business and country leadership while aligning local priorities with Group Technology objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, production readiness, and smooth transition to operations.
- Drive innovation, digitization, and process simplification by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, improve client experience, and support business growth.
- Manage the country technology budget, monitor financial performance, and prioritize investments and service improvements to maximize value and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure delivery of resilient, secure, and high-performing technology infrastructure, service management, and production engineering capabilities that consistently meet agreed service levels and business expectations.
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis, recovery communications, preventive actions, and governance of production changes in line with Group and regional standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technology, cybersecurity, and operational risks while ensuring compliance with risk frameworks, audit requirements, disaster recovery, business continuity, and information security standards.
- Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing, sanctions, and governance requirements, while fostering strong relationships with regulators and external auditors.
- Provide leadership to the Country Technology function, managing key stakeholder relationships across business, risk, finance, sourcing, and technology teams, while ensuring effective vendor governance, service delivery, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related discipline.
- Proven experience in technology service delivery, operations management, risk, control, and governance.
- Strong skills in strategy development, business governance, transformation, and change management.
- Demonstrated leadership and talent development capabilities.
- Expertise in infrastructure, architecture, data, and emerging technologies.
- Experience managing stakeholders, vendors, and commercial relationships.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Relevant professional or tertiary qualifications and role-specific certifications are advantageous.
