Data Analyst II Tableau

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Tableau to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and optimizing enterprise-level dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions. This role requires extensive experience in dashboard development, data visualization, reporting, and analytical insights, along with strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric. The position focuses on modernizing existing reporting solutions, rebuilding and optimizing Tableau dashboards, supporting the migration from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud, and developing reporting solutions using Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
- Analyze existing Tableau dashboards, reports, and data sources to understand business requirements and reporting logic.
- Rebuild, enhance, and migrate existing Tableau dashboards as part of the organization’s BI modernization initiative.
- Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical solutions based on business needs.
- Support the migration of Tableau Server dashboards and reporting solutions to Tableau Cloud.
- Connect Power BI and Tableau to Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric data sources.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, reporting, and validation.
- Configure and optimize Tableau data sources, extracts, calculated fields, filters, parameters, and dashboard performance.
- Develop Power BI data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and interactive visualizations.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
- Identify trends, patterns, and business insights through data analysis and visualization.
- Troubleshoot dashboard performance issues, data connectivity problems, refresh failures, and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, reports, data sources, calculations, and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or BI Development.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Tableau dashboard development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and report development.
- Proven experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex enterprise-level dashboards.
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation.
- Experience connecting to and extracting data from Microsoft SQL Server and enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, particularly Fabric Data Warehouse, and its integration with BI reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relationships, data quality, reporting structures, and analytical techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with migrating dashboards and reporting solutions from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud is highly desirable.
- Practical exposure to Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server-based data environments will be an advantage.
