SMB Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented Data QA Analyst to join a US-based client’s team in a fully remote role. This position is ideal for individuals who have an interest in working with data, quality assurance, and financial information. While prior experience in finance or accounting is not mandatory, candidates should possess a basic understanding of financial statements and be comfortable handling numerical data. Fresh graduates and those with up to one year of experience in data entry, data analysis, or quality assurance are encouraged to apply. The role requires working 10 hours daily, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Pakistan Time, with a preference for candidates located in Karachi.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter financial estimates sourced from published reports, regulatory filings, and digital platforms into the client’s system.
- Verify and correct financial data to ensure it aligns accurately and consistently with original source documents.
- Review and resolve platform alerts such as missing values, absent dates, and discrepancies in reporting periods.
- Monitor corporate actions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings, ensuring their effects are properly reflected in datasets and key performance indicator mappings.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on raw data, financial forecasts, and dataset mappings to identify inconsistencies, outdated information, and gaps in coverage.
- Maintain and update security lists by accurately recording new companies, ticker symbols, and entity changes.
- Support ad-hoc research, data validation, and special projects as assigned by the team.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity while consistently meeting quality and productivity targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Up to one year of experience in data entry, data analysis, quality assurance, or a similar function; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Basic knowledge of financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience working with financial data, spreadsheets, or research platforms is advantageous. Familiarity with company disclosures, annual reports, SEC filings, or financial reporting concepts will be considered a plus. Knowledge of data validation and quality assurance processes is also beneficial.
