Development Lead (PHP + Wordpress+Shopify)

COLAB Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Development Lead to oversee and drive the web development function, focusing on the creation, maintenance, optimization, and delivery of websites and e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in PHP, WordPress, Shopify, and Magento, combined with proven leadership skills to manage developers, handle technical projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and uphold high development standards. This role requires a professional with prior experience in a marketing company and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development team to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
- Plan, prioritize, and allocate development tasks among team members.
- Develop, customize, and maintain websites and web applications using PHP.
- Manage WordPress websites, including custom theme and plugin development, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Customize and optimize Shopify stores, including theme adjustments and app integrations.
- Develop and maintain Magento-based e-commerce platforms with a focus on performance and functionality.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews to enforce best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, performance, security, and functionality issues.
- Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and other teams to meet client requirements.
- Provide technical planning, accurate development estimates, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or blockers.
- Manage website migrations, API integrations, and third-party tool implementations.
- Maintain website security, backups, updates, and overall technical health.
- Stay updated on emerging web technologies, development frameworks, AI tools, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, supporting their technical growth and development.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack or web development within a marketing company.
- Strong hands-on experience with PHP, WordPress, Shopify, and Magento development.
- Proficient in developing and customizing PHP applications and integrating databases.
- Extensive experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, APIs, security, and performance optimization.
- Skilled in Shopify store customization, theme development, app integrations, and e-commerce optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Magento theme and extension customization, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS, with a good understanding of responsive web design.
- Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring, code review, and task management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
