Die Cutting Machine Operator – Offset Packaging

We are seeking a skilled Die Cutting Machine Operator with experience in operating and maintaining Bobst Novacut die cutting machines. The role involves working on the production of folding cartons and offset packaging products, ensuring high-quality output and efficient machine operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of die-cutting processes and the ability to maintain production standards while minimizing waste and downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate die cutting machines efficiently and safely, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Set up dies, stripping tools, cutting plates, and configure job parameters according to production specifications.
- Perform various operations including die-cutting, creasing, perforation, embossing, and stripping.
- Ensure precise registration, appropriate cutting pressure, and creasing to maintain the quality of finished products.
- Inspect job samples regularly to uphold quality standards throughout the production process.
- Minimize paperboard wastage and reduce machine downtime by monitoring machine performance closely.
- Identify and troubleshoot common issues related to the machine and die-cutting processes promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with Production, Printing, and Quality Control departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Maintain machine cleanliness, apply lubrication, and carry out basic preventive maintenance tasks.
- Follow all company safety protocols and production procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience operating Bobst Novacut or similar die cutting machines in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of die-cutting techniques including creasing, perforation, embossing, and stripping.
- Ability to set up machines and adjust parameters accurately based on job requirements.
- Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical issues and maintaining machine performance.
- Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining product quality and minimizing waste.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to following safety standards and company policies.

This position is based in the Korangi Industrial Area.
