EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Group Life Insurance Claims Operations Department to oversee the processing of complex and high-value life insurance claims. This position plays a critical role in ensuring claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate applies strong analytical thinking and sound judgment to make decisions, coordinate between internal teams and external partners, and support continuous improvements in claims operations. Although this role does not involve direct team management, it requires effective collaboration and leadership skills to influence and support colleagues.
Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end processing of complex and high-value group life insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  • Review claims documentation and verify compliance with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as underwriting, legal, and finance to coordinate claims investigation and settlement.
  • Engage with external partners including healthcare providers, legal representatives, and third-party administrators to facilitate claims validation and processing.
  • Apply analytical thinking and sound judgment to assess claims details, identify discrepancies, and make informed decisions regarding claim approvals or denials.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending enhancements within claims workflows.
  • Utilize MS Office tools to generate reports, monitor claims performance, and maintain documentation accuracy.
  • Leverage Power BI (where applicable) for data visualization and claims analytics to track performance metrics and identify trends.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and company information at all times, adhering to ethical standards and data protection protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and provide status updates on claims.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in handling claims operations, ensuring compliance with company values and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to peers and junior staff in claims processing procedures without direct team management responsibilities.
