We are looking for an experienced Tender Engineer to manage all commercial activities related to tender processes. This role involves handling requirements from the initial receipt of tender requests through to contract allocation and handover to the project department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive techno-commercial proposals, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring that all tender submissions meet the necessary standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire tender process, including receiving tender requests and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals that align with project requirements and company standards.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather necessary information and quotations for tender submissions.
- Analyze tender documents to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure timely submission of tender documents in compliance with client specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the project department to facilitate smooth contract handover.
- Monitor and track tender progress and maintain accurate records of all tender-related activities.
- Support negotiation processes with clients and subcontractors as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and competitor activities to enhance tender competitiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tender Engineer or in a similar commercial role within the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract management, and commercial terms.
- Excellent technical knowledge to prepare and evaluate techno-commercial proposals.
- Proficient in analyzing tender documents and identifying key commercial factors.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for document preparation and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
