Accounts Officer

Euro Food Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliation, with proficiency in accounting and ERP software such as Oracle and SAP. This position requires a professional who can efficiently manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the finance department with invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation tasks. Knowledge of taxation is an added advantage and will contribute to enhanced financial accuracy and compliance. As an Accounts Officer managing a team of three, you will be responsible for overseeing the team's daily activities while ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. The role involves vendor liaison, resolving payment issues, and assisting senior management with preparation of management reports. You will play a critical role in maintaining effective communication with vendors, ensuring cash expense verifications are completed, and supporting various finance-related projects assigned by senior leadership. Responsibilities

Process and enter accounts payable and purchase invoices accurately and promptly.
Perform vendor reconciliation to ensure all payments and invoices are correctly recorded.
Act as the main point of contact for vendors to resolve any payment-related issues efficiently.
Verify cash expenses to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Assist senior finance staff in the preparation of management reports for decision-making purposes.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements to maintain financial accuracy.
Manage and oversee the work of the accounts team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Utilize ERP software such as Oracle and SAP to update and maintain accounting records and support financial processes.
Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping of all financial transactions and files.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards, including taxation requirements where applicable.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather and verify financial data as needed.
Support other accounts and finance related tasks assigned by senior management to meet organizational goals.
