Edversity, a division of the Rapidev Group of Companies based in Lahore, is seeking a Full Stack Development Instructor to join our onsite team full-time. We specialize in delivering practical, industry-focused IT training through physical classes designed to equip young people with the skills needed for careers and freelancing opportunities in technology. In this role, you will guide trainees from their first HTML page to building and deploying fully functional web applications, leading daily coding sessions and hands-on labs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily lectures and live-coding labs following the approved curriculum.
- Break down programming concepts clearly for beginners, using simple English and Urdu.
- Prepare lesson plans, slides, coding exercises, assignments, and quizzes.
- Review trainee code and mentor them through mini-projects and a final capstone project.
- Monitor attendance, assess trainee progress, and submit regular reports to the program team.
- Conduct additional support sessions for trainees who need extra help.
- Advise trainees on building portfolios, managing GitHub profiles, freelancing, and job applications.
- Assist with assessments, audits, and program reviews to maintain quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in web development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, and either MongoDB or SQL databases.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JWT authentication, and version control using Git.
- A portfolio showcasing at least two live projects or a public GitHub repository.
- Ability to live-code, debug, and explain technical concepts clearly in both English and Urdu.
- Patience and a genuine passion for teaching beginners and helping them build confidence.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with TypeScript and Next.js is a plus.
- A freelancing background on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr is advantageous.
- Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring roles is highly valued.
