Full Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript & Backend focus)

DevFum, a dynamic software engineering company based in Faisal Town, Lahore, is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with 2–3 years of production experience. The company specializes in building end-to-end digital products, including scalable backend systems, APIs, modern web and mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, AI-powered solutions, system integrations, data engineering, and interactive 3D experiences. At DevFum, engineers engage in the full development lifecycle, contributing to architecture, frontend and backend development, database management, integrations, deployment, and ensuring performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of features from design to release, emphasizing careful planning before coding.
- Maintain architectural integrity by designing RESTful APIs with strict validation, implementing layered backend structures (Controllers, Services, Data Access), and managing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Develop production-ready, high-performance frontend interfaces using React.js and Next.js, effectively balancing server-side and client-side rendering.
- Mentor junior engineers by breaking down user stories into actionable tasks and performing thorough pull request reviews to uphold code quality.
- Manage the deployment pipeline on AWS or DigitalOcean, handle Linux environments, debug production logs, and oversee environment variables.

Required Qualifications
- Expert proficiency in TypeScript, including generics, interfaces, and strict type safety.
- Strong experience with React.js and Next.js for frontend development.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL or MongoDB, including schema design and ORM tools such as Prisma, Mongoose, or TypeORM.
- Hands-on experience with authentication systems like Supabase Auth, Firebase, or NextAuth.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs such as Stripe and OpenAI, as well as real-time communication using WebSockets.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and cloud hosting platforms like AWS or DigitalOcean.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
