We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Engineer to join our operational phase 50 mwp Gharo Solar plant. This is a full-time on-site role for our head office located in Lahore. The Associate Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of both solar plants. They will be working closely with the Deputy Manager Technical to ensure the smooth operations of the project. This position offers an opportunity to work on renewable energy projects and contribute to the sustainability goals of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Reporting
• Regularly monitor the performance and operation of solar power systems,
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance, energy production, and maintenance activities.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
• Identify and diagnose issues related to equipment malfunctions, electrical faults, and system performance,
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning panels, replacing faulty components, and ensuring optimal system efficiency.
Data Analysis
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization,
• Use data-driven insights to propose and implement improvements that enhance energy production and system reliability.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure that the solar plant complies with all relevant environmental and safety regulations,
• Implement safety protocols and procedures for plant personnel and contractors.
Performance Optimization
• Work on projects aimed at increasing the efficiency and performance of the solar plant, such as optimizing tracking systems and implementing advanced control strategies.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
• Previous experience or internship in solar energy operations or a similar field is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of solar energy systems, photovoltaic technology, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with SCADA systems and remote monitoring software.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Basic understanding of energy storage systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and programs.
The role may require periodic visits or stays at the solar plant site.
