Account Officer

Hawk Distribution is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance department. The successful candidate will oversee financial activities including financial analysis, credit assessments, and account reconciliations. This role requires proficiency in financial data management and the ability to analyze financial statements and reports accurately. The Account Officer will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that financial records are maintained according to company policies and compliance standards. This position demands a professional with at least two years of relevant experience and the capability to handle financial software tools effectively. As the Account Officer, you will lead a team of five finance staff members, directing daily accounting operations and coordinating tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy. You will be responsible for supervising the preparation and review of financial reports, monitoring bank reconciliations, and ensuring timely data entry and documentation. Your leadership will contribute to the optimization of the financial control environment, supporting the organizations overall financial health and strategic goals.
Responsibilities

Manage and supervise a team of five accounting personnel, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
Perform detailed financial and credit analysis to assess the financial status and risk levels of clients or accounts.
Oversee account reconciliation processes including bank reconciliations and internal ledger balances to maintain accuracy in financial records.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to support management decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP, along with ERP systems, to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Conduct data entry and maintain documentation related to financial transactions ensuring completeness and correctness.
Develop and maintain Excel financial models and reports to track financial performance and forecast outcomes effectively.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and support audits or compliance activities.
Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement in accounting processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial standards throughout all accounting activities.
