Health KP is seeking a dedicated and proactive Social Mobilizer to join our team, focusing on health facility and community outreach programs. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in engaging communities, delivering public health education, and supporting outreach initiatives to improve community health outcomes. This position requires a female candidate with strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to effectively communicate health-related information to diverse populations. The Social Mobilizer will act as a vital link between health facilities and the community, helping to promote awareness and facilitate access to health services. This role requires at least two years of relevant experience and a minimum educational qualification of FA/FSC with 1st Division. The Social Mobilizer will work independently and does not manage a team but collaborates closely with healthcare staff and community members to ensure successful health outreach and data collection efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dedicated to public health improvement, and demonstrates a strong commitment to community engagement and outreach program management.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach activities and engage community members to raise awareness about health programs and services.
  • Implement health education sessions focusing on preventive care, disease control, and healthy living practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, local leaders, and health facility staff to facilitate effective communication and program implementation.
  • Collect, compile, and report data related to outreach activities, health education sessions, and community health status.
  • Assess community health needs and identify barriers to healthcare access in collaboration with health facility staff.
  • Promote cultural sensitivity and respect in all community interactions to ensure inclusive and effective communication.
  • Support the planning and coordination of outreach programs, ensuring alignment with health facility goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach and mobilization efforts and suggest improvements based on community feedback and health outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of community interactions, health education efforts, and program progress.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements in community forums, schools, and other gatherings to disseminate health information.
  • Facilitate referrals and follow-up support for individuals needing access to health services.
  • Stay updated on current public health trends, outreach strategies, and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.
