We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a strong background in knitwear and textile manufacturing to enhance productivity and streamline production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting time and motion studies, optimizing production lines, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing production efficiency, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering insightful performance analysis to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering & Productivity:
Conduct detailed time and motion studies to establish and validate Standard Minute Values (SMV/SAM). Perform production line balancing to optimize manpower allocation, workflow, and machine utilization. Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve output and efficiency. Monitor line efficiency, labor productivity, target achievement, and production capacity. Develop and implement process improvements aimed at reducing operational costs, idle time, and production losses. Establish production performance standards and recommend enhanced work methods.
Production Operations & Coordination:
Oversee daily production activities to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of targets. Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational challenges. Analyze production gaps against planned targets and recommend corrective and preventive measures. Review manpower utilization, line performance, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Support production planning through capacity studies, operational analysis, and efficiency forecasting. Ensure the proper implementation of Industrial Engineering systems, standard operating procedures, and productivity improvement plans. Follow up on action plans with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Reporting & Performance Analysis:
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production efficiency, productivity, output, manpower utilization, and capacity. Develop management dashboards and KPI reports to track operational performance and highlight deviations. Analyze actual production against planned targets to identify variances and their causes. Produce detailed reports on SMV/SAM, line efficiency, labor productivity, bottlenecks, and improvement initiatives. Present performance analysis and actionable recommendations to management. Maintain accurate Industrial Engineering data, production records, and performance tracking systems. Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and report measurable improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction techniques. Identify opportunities to improve production methods, reduce cycle times, and enhance resource utilization. Train and guide production teams on improved work methods, productivity standards, and operational best practices. Support management in implementing performance improvement plans and operational excellence initiatives.
