Hygiene Promoter will Conduct health and hygiene education sessions tailored to diverse groups, including adults, children, elders, and persons with disabilities. Promote best hygiene practices such as handwashing at critical times, safe water use, environmental and food hygiene, menstrual hygiene management, and waste disposal. Assist in developing or adapting Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials aligned with Ministry of Public Health and organizational guidelines. The following are the main responsibility that the role holder will be accountable for:
· Implement project activities related to Hygiene promotion.
· Promotion and education within targeted communities through contact with community representatives.
· Detail assessment regarding knowledge and practices of the area of intervention and preparation of survey report before and after the hygiene sessions.
· To conduct a surveys which/whenever asked by the immediate supervisor
· Design hygiene sessions with awareness about use of safe water for drinking and provide easy methods for making water safe for drinking.
· Arrangements and deliverance of hygiene promotion sessions to the targeted community. Conducting the targeted hygiene promotion sessions with complete record keeping and pictorial proofs.
· To ensure the participation of the target community in better health/cleanliness campaigns
· Active participation in the Campaigns e.g. Global Hand Washing Day. Global Breastfeeding Week, Global Toilet Day, etc.
· Adapt and assist in developing information, education, and communication (IEC) materials for Hygiene and DRR-related activities.
· Coordinate and conduct training for hygiene and DRR-related activities in line with the agreed curriculum.
· Conduct training of the communities in hygiene promotion and the implementation of different techniques & activities in selected communities as per project objectives.
Operational:
· Preparation of weekly/monthly work plans against PMT (performance-measured time frame) by ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks in the stipulated period.
· Maintenance of hard records that includes field visit reports, CO meeting minutes, assessment records & other relevant documentation.
· Ensure proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard.
· Extend support to MEAL / MIS / Communications staff for gathering desired information.
· Ensure availability of up-to-date info in MIS regularly with the consultation of MIS / M&E.
· Close coordination with line manager for effective implementation of project activities.
· CM will identify and proactively communicate any issues that might affect the project implementation and engage community support with guidance from the line manager.
· Must be flexible and adapt to changes quickly to the requirements of the changed situation.
Organizational:
· Ensure compliance with IR's policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
· In-depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
· Abide by the IR zero-tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization/empowerment of communities on coping mechanisms so that they can raise their voices as & when feel inappropriate.
· Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
· Assist in the identification & documentation of organizational successes for showcasing IR work
· Facilitate communities in the adaptation of environment-friendly & cost-effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
· Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & Children, etc in consultation & implementation of project activities at the ground.
· Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention to DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, and highlight the protection needs of people.
· Participation and facilitation in the implementation of IR seasonal programs & emergency response.

Qualification:
Bachelor / master’s degree in social sciences.
Experience:
Minimum experience of similar role in NGO setup:
2 years’ experience with Bachelor’s degree (14 Years) or 1 year with Master /Bachelor degree (16 Years).
Computer Skills:
MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity
Language:
English, Urdu, Balochi & local languages preferred.

· Able to work under extreme conditions in field areas.
