Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our team on-site at Bahria Town Phase-5, Islamabad/Rawalpindi. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in truck dispatching, with the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high levels of organization. Success in this role hinges on ensuring timely and accurate freight deliveries through efficient scheduling and communication. This position requires hands-on coordination with drivers, customers, and internal teams to support seamless freight operations.

Key Responsibilities
The Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling drivers for freight deliveries and shipment pickups, ensuring that all assignments are planned and executed efficiently. You will communicate directly with customers to provide updates on freight details, delivery and pickup times, and any special handling requirements. Planning pre-determined routes and making necessary adjustments to optimize delivery schedules is a critical part of the role.

You will prepare all dispatch-related documentation, including freight bills and invoices, while maintaining accurate records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, and delivery or pickup times. Monitoring compliance with transportation regulations and laws is essential, which involves reviewing drivers’ logs and arrival times to ensure adherence to legal standards.

Additionally, you will oversee truck repairs and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Handling customer shipping schedules and addressing any complaints promptly will also be part of your daily responsibilities, ensuring high customer satisfaction and smooth freight operations.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a solid understanding of trucking operations, dispatching processes, and load board management. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry is required. You should be adept at scheduling drivers, planning routes, and dispatching drivers to various customer locations efficiently.

Experience in customer service is important, as the role involves frequent communication with clients. Familiarity with load boards such as DAT, Sylectus, and other platforms commonly used in the USA is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express is also required to manage documentation and communication effectively.

You must be capable of monitoring drivers’ logs, truck maintenance, and repairs while having a clear understanding of applicable transportation regulations and laws. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks and ensure smooth operations. Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While 2-3 years of experience is required, candidates with at least 1 year of truck dispatching experience are preferred. This is a full-time contract position with a duration of 12 months. The monthly salary ranges from Rs55,000 to Rs60,000.

Candidates must be able to work on-site and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently to support uninterrupted freight services.
