This role involves ensuring the accuracy and authorization of all deals within the system to maintain a correct position in the financial books. The incumbent will monitor currency positions across branches, advise on exchange coverage, and control foreign exchange (FX) and money market (MM) limits to prevent dealers from exceeding authorized thresholds. Accurate checking of exchange and deposit rates is essential to guarantee customers receive correct rates. The role also requires matching all Forex bank deals with customer transactions to avoid unintended exchange positions.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all deals are properly authorized to reflect accurate positions in the books.
- Monitor and verify currency positions of branches, providing guidance on covering exchange positions.
- Control FX and MM limits to ensure compliance by dealers.
- Check exchange and deposit rates to confirm correct rates are offered to customers.
- Match Forex bank deals with customer deals to prevent exchange position discrepancies.
- Monitor limits and accounting for Precious Metal transactions, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately and within approved limits.
- Review Parity Tolerance Reports to prevent incorrect exchange rates or financial losses.
- Monitor daily exchange profit and loss to identify any errors related to incorrect rates.

MIS Reporting

- Monitor FX Proprietary Profit/Loss and provide daily and monthly reports to management.
- Ensure all transaction errors are approved and report monthly figures to management.
- Conduct monthly revaluation of Proprietary Interest Rate Swap deals, ensure GL accounts reflect these, and report P/L to management.
- Prepare FX Margin and Futures Customer Commission reports by date and customer, submitting them to management.
- Prepare Corporate Customers’ Profit & Loss reports by customer and share with Front Office and Corporate Banking Group as per commission agreements.
- Consolidate all monthly Treasury and Capital Markets (TCM) income figures and report to management.
- Prepare all banking returns and share them with the Centralized Accounting Department (CAD) according to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Regularly prepare surveys received from the Central Bank.
- Prepare returns on Unmatured Forward Exchange Contracts, including those for non-resident customers.
- Prepare Statements of Derivatives (IAS-7), post related entries to the General Ledger (GL), and provide reports to CAD.
- Analyze large exposures to non-bank entities and report findings to CAD.
- Prepare monthly reports on exchange income from vostro accounts.
- Monitor and reconcile sundry creditors and debtors accounts.
- Oversee all suspense accounts, clearing them after thorough investigation.

Nostro Management

- Manage Nostro accounts to cover exchange positions, monitor entries posted by other departments and branches, and prevent account overdrafts.
- Perform duties in accordance with policies and guidelines outlined in the Treasury Operations Control (TOC) Manual, adapting to procedural changes as necessary.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Operations division, local and overseas branches, and dealers to facilitate smooth Nostro management and exchange coverage.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in foreign exchange operations, treasury management, or related financial roles.
- Strong understanding of FX, MM limits, and treasury accounting principles.
- Proficiency in monitoring and reporting financial transactions and profit/loss statements.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and banking return processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in transaction matching and limit monitoring.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and external branches.
