Accounts Officer

Maroof International Hospital is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable processes, conducting bank reconciliations, and ensuring tax compliance. This position requires proficiency in bookkeeping, voucher management, and invoice processing. The candidate must stay current with applicable tax laws and provide timely financial reporting to support smooth operations.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / MBA-Finance (or equivalent) from a recognized university

Experience

At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounts/finance role

Responsibilities

Post payment, receipt, and journal vouchers accurately and promptly using QuickBooks Online, ensuring all vouchers have proper support documentation including invoices and approvals.
Maintain and enforce discipline in the chart of accounts by identifying and reporting any discrepancies in coding.
Manage and update customer files and apartment/unit ledgers continuously, including booking information, payment schedules, and tracking outstanding balances.
Regularly reconcile customer receivables against sales and collection records to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with the sales team to keep unit-status and customer data fully synchronized with master records.
Prepare and process various tax challans such as income tax, sales tax, and withholding tax within statutory deadlines, maintaining organized records for tax payments and aiding in tax return preparations.
Stay informed about the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act, and other relevant tax regulations applicable to the hospital’s financial operations.
Compile monthly bank reconciliation statements for all company bank accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate cash records.
Prepare weekly fund flow statements to provide management with clear insights into cash inflows, outflows, and the current liquidity position.
Assist in petty cash management, process vendor payments timely, and track advance payments to ensure seamless financial transactions.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including compiling accounting data and preparing relevant financial documentation.
Undertake other accounting and finance-related tasks assigned by the Finance & Accounts Manager to contribute towards the department’s objectives.
