Mechanical Engineer

A Karachi-based industrial trade and service company, TRACE Certified and ISO registered, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong technical sales expertise. The company serves EPC contractors, explorers, operators, and industrial suppliers primarily in the power generation, fertilizers, and oil & gas sectors. Due to growing project complexity and expanding business needs, the role focuses on supporting commercial and technical operations through specification reviews, technical alignment between suppliers and buyers, and after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and interpret mechanical specifications, datasheets, and technical requirements in line with client specifications.
- Assess supplier and manufacturer compliance with buyer technical standards.
- Support bidding processes by assisting in pre-bid evaluations and providing technical clarifications.
- Serve as a technical liaison between buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Evaluate mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, piping systems, pressure vessels, rotating and static equipment, and mechanical packages related to power generation and oil & gas.
- Participate in technical meetings, clarifications, and negotiations with clients and suppliers.

Required Qualifications
- DAE or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sales, proposal engineering, or tender engineering within the power generation, fertilizers, or oil & gas industries.
- Proficiency in reviewing and applying international standards and codes such as API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, and IEC.
- Strong ability to understand and evaluate client mechanical specifications and vendor documentation.
