Located at the B-40 SG Allied Businesses Ltd site in Karachi, Pakistan, this position calls for a skilled Mechanical Works Incharge to oversee mechanical maintenance, fabrication, installation, and repair operations within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of mechanical systems to support uninterrupted production. This role demands a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to manage daily operations effectively and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance and repair activities to maintain operational continuity.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules aimed at minimizing equipment downtime.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns to reduce production interruptions.
- Oversee fabrication and installation projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines.
- Ensure all mechanical operations adhere to safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, compressors, and welding/fabrication processes.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to solve complex mechanical issues effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in textile, food processing, chemical, or other industrial manufacturing plants is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and workshop management is an advantage.
