Medical Receptionist, Phlebotomy Centre – Silakot

Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a Medical Receptionist for its Phlebotomy Centre located in Sialkot, Pakistan. The Clinical Laboratories at Aga Khan University Hospital are the first in Pakistan accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), a global gold standard in laboratory testing. Our extensive network spans over 290 locations across 125 cities in Pakistan, providing fast and accurate routine and specialized testing services. Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process laboratory test requests prescribed by physicians.
- Inform and guide patients regarding laboratory tests and specimen collection procedures to ensure compliance with test requirements.
- Distribute laboratory test reports to authorized individuals after verifying all necessary details.
- Manage cash and credit transactions, maintaining accurate daily records of any cash discrepancies in accordance with laboratory policies.
- Confirm test requirements with patients and provide clear verbal and written instructions for specimen collection.
- Respond to telephonic and in-person inquiries about laboratory tests and schedule appointments for specialized testing.
- Perform phlebotomy duties at collection points as needed, supporting the laboratory team.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two years relevant work experience, including at least one year as a phlebotomist.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in computer use and basic software applications.
- Adequate knowledge of laboratory tests and specimen collection procedures.
- Flexibility to work in shifts as per operational requirements.
