MMSJ International Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly competent and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to manage and supervise the company's financial, accounting, taxation, reporting, budgeting, and financial-control functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring cash flow, preparing management accounts, controlling costs, supporting mining and trading projects, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax, corporate, and accounting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Management
- Manage the company's complete accounting and bookkeeping functions.
- Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, customer accounts, and project accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and supported by documentation.
2. Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Prepare annual budgets and project-specific financial plans.
- Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets.
- Prepare financial forecasts and cash-flow projections.
- Identify unnecessary costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Provide management with financial analysis for business decisions.
3. Mining & Project Finance
- Maintain separate financial records for mining, processing, trading, and other projects.
- Monitor project costs, production expenses, transportation costs, procurement costs, and operational expenditures.
- Calculate project profitability and margins.
- Prepare financial feasibility and investment analysis for new projects.
- Review financial terms of joint ventures, contracts, and commercial agreements.
4. International Trade & Commercial Finance
- Monitor receivables, payables, advances, deposits, commissions, and trade-related expenses.
- Review commercial invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and payment schedules from a financial perspective.
- Coordinate with banks regarding international payments and trade transactions.
- Assist management with LC, TT, bank transfer, and other legitimate trade-finance documentation.
- Monitor foreign-currency transactions and exchange-rate impacts.
5. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of applicable tax returns and statutory documents.
- Coordinate with tax advisors, auditors, banks, regulators, and government authorities when required.
- Maintain proper tax records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure the company complies with applicable Pakistani accounting, taxation, and corporate requirements.
6. Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls.
- Review payment requests, purchase expenses, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Implement appropriate approval procedures for company expenditures.
- Monitor potential financial risks, irregularities, and control weaknesses.
- Protect company assets and ensure proper financial accountability.
7. Payroll & Employee Finance
- Supervise payroll preparation and salary payments.
- Maintain employee-related financial records.
- Verify allowances, reimbursements, travel expenses, and other employee claims.
- Coordinate with HR regarding employee compensation and statutory deductions.
8. Audit
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Respond to auditor queries and implement agreed recommendations.
- Ensure financial records remain audit-ready throughout the year.
9. Management Reporting
Prepare regular reports for the CEO and management, including:
- Cash-flow position
- Profit & loss
- Balance sheet
- Accounts receivable/payable
- Project profitability
- Budget vs. actual expenditure
- Outstanding payments and receivables
- Monthly financial performance
- Investment and project feasibility analysis
Required Qualification
Mandatory:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) — preferably a qualified member of a recognized professional accounting body.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, audit, financial management, and corporate compliance.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferred.
