The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following position:

Position / Job Title:
Unit Head - Fraud Reporting & Whistle Blow (AVP / VP)

Reporting to:
Wing Head - Whistle Blow, Fraud Reporting & LEA Coordination

Educational /Professional Qualification:

  • Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan

  • Candidates having Masters degree and / or any other relevant professional certification(s) will be preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 06 years of banking experience in compliance and / or in fraud investigation and / or regulatory reporting and / or audit function

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:

  • Sound knowledge of SBP Fraud Risk Management Guidelines and Whistle Blows mechanism in the banking industry

  • Strong computer skills preferably MS Office & Power BI tools

  • Basic knowledge of banking products or operations

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong Analytical and interpretation skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

  • Team management skills

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • To look after all affairs of the unit including scrutinizing, analyse and manage all whistle blow cases received at the Whistle blow Department and reporting of all fraud and forgeries incidents to SBP as per SBP fraud risk management and reporting guidelines

  • To process and follow up on all whistle blow cases including fact finding and investigations in coordination with relevant departments and field offices

  • To maintain comprehensive records, MIS and files related to all whistle blow cases reported to the department

  • To liaise with the Fraud Investigation Department (FID), Human Resource Management Group (HRMG) and other relevant stakeholders regarding cases referred for investigation and fact finding and ensure appropriate follow ups

  • To prepare data, presentations and agendas concerning fraud reporting and whistle blow cases for relevant committees such (WBC, CCM, BRCC etc.) in coordination with the Wing Head

  • To process of investigation reports and facts finding reports and their subsequent conclusion as per whistle blow policy and procedure / process flow

  • To report all the fraud and forgeries incident including conventional frauds, lifting of pledged stock, ATM skimming & digital banking fraud cases and subsequent regulatory reporting of these fraud cases to SBP on quarterly basis / emergency basis and monthly reporting as the case may be

  • To obtain update on fraud cases from the regional offices, overseas branches and NBP subsidiaries on quarterly basis and submit the same to SBP within the given timelines (i.e. within 15 working days after ending of each quarter)

  • To obtain update from call centre operation group on digital banking fraud committed / attempted cases on monthly basis and submit the same to SBP within the given timelines (i.e. within 10 working days from the close of every month

  • To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Employment Type:

The employment will be on contractual basis for three years which may be renewed ondiscretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensationpackage and other benefits as per Banks Policy / rules.
