Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evaluate advanced statistical and machine learning models and approaches for application in solving complex business problems.
- Provide guidance on data strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in data analysis and modeling.
- Cultivate the skills and expertise of junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and continuous-learning environment.
- Partner with data engineers to optimize data architecture and ensure seamless data flow for analysis.
- Interface with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to present findings, recommendations, and drive data-driven decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies in data science, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Oversee end-to-end data projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and deliverables align with the business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years in a data science role, with a track record of driving significant business impact.
- Proficiency in a wide array of machine learning models, statistical techniques, and advanced algorithms.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and familiarity with other data science tools and libraries.
- Mastery of SQL and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and big data tools.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, projects, or research initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
- Published research or significant contributions to the data science community.
- Experience with real-time analytics and business intelligence platforms.
- Proven success in mentoring and growing teams.
