Assistant Chef

Olivo is seeking a dedicated Assistant Chef with at least one year of experience in a fast food restaurant environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in food preparation and cooking techniques, with a strong focus on kitchen safety and food safety and hygiene standards. This role plays a vital part in supporting the head chef and kitchen staff to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals. The Assistant Chef works closely with team members to maintain smooth workflow within a fast-paced setting, promoting collaboration and adherence to health regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking various menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with all safety and hygiene regulations. Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold the companys standards. Support inventory management by helping with stock checks and proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service efficiently. Follow all kitchen safety protocols to minimize hazards and prevent accidents. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with team members to address and resolve any issues during service. Contribute to menu planning by providing feedback and suggestions based on customer preferences and kitchen capabilities.
