Junior Restaurant Accountant

Pak Talent Hiring seeks a detail-oriented Junior Restaurant Accountant with 4 years of relevant accounting experience. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of restaurant accounting and practical experience working with Point Of Sale (POS) systems and accounting software, ensuring precise daily reconciliations and comprehensive expense management. This position requires proficiency in MS Excel and an understanding of inventory management and food costing to maintain accurate financial records that support the restaurants overall financial health. The Junior Restaurant Accountant works independently without a team management responsibility, primarily responsible for maintaining accurate accounting data, supporting compliance with financial policies, and generating clear expense reports. The role involves regular interaction with various accounting and restaurant management software tools, ensuring seamless integration of financial data. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to support decision-making processes and contribute to the operational efficiency of the restaurant's financial activities.
Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes accurately and timely to ensure smooth financial operations.
Perform daily reconciliations of POS system transactions with accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Track and manage expenses using expense management and reporting software to maintain comprehensive financial records.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and food costing to support pricing strategies and cost control measures.
Use accounting software and ERP systems to record financial transactions and maintain ledger accounts.
Generate and review expense reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and financial regulations.
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure financial data is accurately captured and reflected in accounting reports.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports to provide insights into the restaurant's financial performance.
Assist with audits and compliance reviews by preparing necessary documentation and records.
Stay updated with accounting standards and restaurant industry practices to enhance financial processes.
Support the integration of accounting systems with POS and restaurant management software to improve reporting accuracy.
Utilize strong MS Excel skills to analyze financial data, create spreadsheets, and automate routine accounting tasks.
Assist in monitoring the pricing of spices and other inventory elements relevant to the restaurants operations.
