Pak Talent Hiring seeks a skilled Workshop Manager to oversee and coordinate all workshop activities, ensuring efficient maintenance and repair operations for commercial vehicle fleets. This role involves managing a team of 10 technicians, optimizing workshop workflows, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a diploma with extensive experience, bringing deep knowledge of diesel, hybrid, and electric bus maintenance. Strong leadership is critical for driving process improvements, managing inventories, and achieving operational targets in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Peshawar. This position demands a professional with 8 to 12 years of experience in workshop or fleet management, including at least three years in a managerial capacity. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in preventive and breakdown maintenance, spare parts control, and compliance with safety and quality protocols. Proficiency in production scheduling and resource allocation ensures smooth workshop operations. Excellent communication skills in both Urdu and English, along with computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and ERP systems, will support effective team coordination and reporting. The Workshop Manager commits to working Monday through Saturday to meet operational needs efficiently.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 10 technicians to perform maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles including buses and BRT.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate workshop resources to maximize productivity and meet service deadlines.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring timely procurement and proper tracking of spare parts and materials.
  • Implement and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance programs to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures to safeguard personnel and equipment.
  • Coordinate workshop operations using production scheduling and team management software for optimal workflow management.
  • Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance, quality, and cost control.
  • Manage budgeting processes, controlling costs while maintaining operational efficiency and workshop quality.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare detailed reports and communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to fleet maintenance.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and make informed decisions regarding workshop challenges and operational issues.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to foster skill enhancement and maintain technical proficiency of the team.
  • Ensure seamless communication within the team and across departments, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Work on-site in Peshawar throughout the workweek, demonstrating commitment to operational presence and leadership.
