• Research and negotiate the best prices and quality for school supply needs.
  • Establish relationships and represent the school during contract negotiations, building trust with vendors and suppliers.
  • Track and monitor the delivery and confirmation of all materials and supplies.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate logistics support operations to ensure the smooth accomplishment of projects.
  • Manage the movement of materials to warehouse locations and conduct receiving activities.
  • Conduct research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
  • Request quotes and compare prices to maximize return on investment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organization quotations with third parties.
  • Avoid involving purchases from personal connections such as friends or relatives.
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply.
  • Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality.
  • Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival times, and note actual arrival times.
  • Organize and update databases of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and purchasing managers to develop future purchasing plans and identify potential vendor relationships.
  • Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs.
  • Coordinate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management/supervisors

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a purchase officer or in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
