Candidates needed to fulfill the role of Medical Biller for overseas clients. This is an opportunity on the ground floor with lots of potential to grow.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and submit initial claims in a manner that reduces chances of denial
- Follow up on denied claims in a timely manner for resolution - submit corrected claims and/or appeal denials
- Verify and process insurance refunds
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits
- Follow up on Accounts Receivable, delinquent accounts
- Communicate using phone, email, fax, web portals and medical billing software with various stakeholders (insurance companies, medical providers and patients)
- Obtain pre-authorizations as necessary
- Maintain high degree of confidentiality as it relates to patient, customer and employee data
- Will be required to work night shift
Qualifications
- Must have prior experience as a medical biller working with medical providers, insurance companies and patients (US based)
- Working knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management
- Experience with medical billing software
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Fluency in spoken & written English is a must
- Medical coding experience (ICD/CPT/HCPCS) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred required
